The Owners La Fornella is owned by Florentine born Giacomo Bartoloni Saint Omer and his American wife, Cassandra Schaffer, who has resided in Italy for over 12 years. After years of city life the two decided to move to the surrounding hills of Florence. The apartments are managed by Cassandra who left a career in fashion in 2000 to pursue an 'agriturismo business' (vacation apartments Italian style). Cassandra will do everything possible to make your stay in Tuscany unforgettable. Giacomo and Cassandra have both travelled extensively throughout the world. Giacomo is a dentist and his commitment to spending a portion of each year as a volunteer doctor in Africa has led them to spend extensive periods in Africa in particular. Giacomo and Cassandra speak both English and Italian fluently and Giacomo also speaks French.
